Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Metwally is an accomplished marine environmental scientist at the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, Egypt, with extensive expertise in water quality, pollution control, and marine biodiversity. He earned his B.Sc. in Science from Mansoura University in 2001, followed by an M.Sc. from Alexandria University in 2007 and a Ph.D. from Mansoura University in 2015. His international exposure includes participation in the GAME program for young scientists at IFM Geomar, Germany, a UNESCO-IHE training course on Water Quality Assessment in the Netherlands, a fellowship at the University of Pavia, Italy, and a postdoctoral research grant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. Throughout his academic and research journey, Dr. El-Metwally has focused on marine ecology, pollution monitoring, environmental remediation, and emergent contaminants. His studies contribute to sustainable marine management and innovative water treatment solutions. Recognized for his global collaborations and scientific contributions, he continues to advance environmental research addressing critical marine challenges. Through interdisciplinary approaches, he remains dedicated to improving ecosystem health, supporting cleaner aquatic environments, and mentoring future researchers in marine and environmental sciences.
