Mrs. Theresa Schwaiger is a biochemist specializing in molecular biomedicine and antimicrobial research. She completed her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Graz, following an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biomedicine and a BSc in Molecular Biology from Graz University of Technology and the University of Graz. Her professional experience includes research associate roles in academic and startup environments, supervision of students, and interdisciplinary scientific support. Her research interests focus on antimicrobial peptides, safe aromatic compound replacements, peptide design, and biomedical applications. Her work has contributed to internationally funded research projects and innovative antimicrobial strategies. She has received multiple prestigious awards recognizing scientific excellence, interdisciplinary impact, and women’s contributions to research, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing biochemistry and translational science.
