Mr. Srivastava is pursuing a PhD in Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg, Germany. He holds the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute and has completed Project Management Training with Alpha Inspiration GmbH / Hahn-Schickard Gesellschaft. He also earned a Master’s degree in Microsystems Engineering from the University of Freiburg and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore.

Work Experience

Mr. Ananya Srivastava is working as a Project Leader (PMP®) and Scientific Researcher – Acoustic MEMS at Hahn-Schickard-Gesellschaft, Villingen-Schwenningen. His expertise includes project management of EU and international projects, along with research and development in MEMS and Acoustic MEMS. He is proficient in design of experiments, analytical modelling, numerical and FEM simulations, and also leads readout electronics design and implementation. He manages rapid prototyping, sensor testing, and characterization, while being in charge of the optic and acoustic laboratory. His role extends to mechanical & electrical CAD design, MEMS process flow, layout and mask design, scientific writing, data analysis, and technical collaboration with project partners, as well as supervision of thesis students. Previously, he worked as a Master Thesis Student and R&D Engineer (Intern) at Hahn-Schickard, where he designed and optimized a MEMS-based high-g inertial sensor for crash-test applications. His contributions included concept design, numerical modelling, FEM analysis, layout and process flow design, and development of readout electronics and test setups.

At Robert Bosch GmbH, Reutlingen, he served as a Development and Production Engineer (Intern) in the Automotive Electronics – Inertial Sensors division. He specialized in silicon-based MEMS acceleration sensors, worked with communication protocols and bus systems, and managed design of experiments, automation of measurements (C/MATLAB/LUA), evaluation of test series, and troubleshooting. He also played a key role in guiding and training students. As a Scientific Research Assistant at IMTEK, University of Freiburg, he contributed to the development of a PCR setup under Prof. Dr. Gerald Urban. His responsibilities involved electronics research, thermal cycler development with LabView/Arduino, fluorescent detection metrology, and component assembly. Alongside, he also worked as a Cleanroom Lab Tutor, supervising the PVD module and guiding students in fabrication of platinum-based microheaters using photolithography, etching, patterning, and physical vapor deposition techniques.
