Dr. Sirisha Nallakukkala holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia (2020–2023), where her research focused on the “Performance Evaluation and Kinetic Study of CO₂-Rich Natural Gas Hydrate Formation for Produced Water Treatment.” This pioneering work explored hydrate-based desalination for high-salinity water treatment. She earned her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from McNeese State University, USA, in 2007 with a GPA of 3.6/4.0, and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (GVPCOE), India, in 2005 with a GPA of 3.5/4.0.

With over 11 years of teaching experience, Dr. Sirisha has taught diverse courses in Chemical Engineering such as Physical Chemistry, Separation Process, Reaction Engineering, Process Control, Principles of Chemical Engineering, and Industrial Wastewater Treatment. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor at Sri Sivasubramanian Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai (since August 2024), and briefly held a similar role at NIT Srinagar earlier in 2024. Earlier in her career, Dr. Sirisha worked as a Process Engineer at Dynamic Industries Inc., USA, collaborating with companies like Fluor Corporation and Exxon Neft Gas on operational improvements and module development. She gained hands-on experience in tools such as Smart Plant Review and conducted process evaluations. As a Research and Teaching Assistant at McNeese State University, she performed analytical instrument calibration and engaged in CSTR fault detection studies using Hotelling’s T² test and MATLAB.

Gabriela F. Ferreira has a strong academic foundation in chemical engineering, beginning with her Ph.D. degree from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, where she conducted innovative research on microalgae oil production for biodiesel and sugar industry integration. Her doctoral work, supervised by Prof. Leonardo V. Fregolente, combined chemical engineering with environmental sustainability.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from UNICAMP and completed her undergraduate thesis under the guidance of Prof. Rubens Maciel Filho, focusing on the simulation of sugarcane bagasse delignification processes.
