Eman Bakr is currently a postgraduate student in Inorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University. Eman is currently working as a Medical Analysis Chemist at Tolip Laboratories since October 2022. She also contributed to academia as an Assistant in Chemistry Laboratories at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University (2022 – 2023). Her responsibilities included guiding students in practical chemistry sessions and ensuring they gained hands-on experience in laboratory techniques. Prior to that, she worked as a Medical Analysis Chemist at El Eman Lab – Future Lab from August 2020 to March 2021, where she gained valuable experience in clinical laboratory procedures and diagnostic analysis.

Dr. Utpal Shivram Gaikwad completed his MD in Radiotherapy at the prestigious Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, India, from June 2014 to July 2017, where he trained under the guidance of experts at the Homi Bhabha National Institute. He previously earned his MBBS at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, affiliated with MUHS Nashik, from August 2005 to February 2010. This solid foundation equipped him with the skills and knowledge to pursue a specialized career in radiation oncology.

Dr. Gaikwad brings extensive experience in radiation oncology. He currently serves as the Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Krupamayi Hospitals in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, a role he has held since May 2022. Prior to this, he was a Junior Consultant at Apollo Proton Cancer Center in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from June 2021 to May 2022, where he gained hands-on experience with advanced proton therapy. From December 2018 to May 2021, he served as a Senior Registrar at the same center, further honing his expertise in cutting-edge cancer treatment. Additionally, Dr. Gaikwad undertook a Research Fellowship in Adult Haemato-Oncology under Dr. J. S. Goda at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, from August 2018 to November 2018, focusing on innovative treatment approaches. His earlier positions included Senior Registrar (August 2017 – July 2018) and Junior Registrar (June 2014 – July 2017) in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Tata Memorial Centre, as well as House Officer in Radiation Oncology at GMCH Aurangabad during 2012–2013.

Dr. Gaikwad has been a dedicated member of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) since August 2014. To expand his professional network and stay updated on advancements in radiation oncology, he joined the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) in June 2018. Additionally, he is a member of the Proton Therapy Co-operative Group (PTCOG), where he engages with global experts to advance proton therapy practices, having joined in November 2019.

Dr. Gaikwad’s primary interests lie in treating Head and Neck cancers, Thoracic Malignancies, Gynecological malignancies, and Pediatric malignancies. With a strong inclination toward advanced treatment modalities, he specializes in Protons and heavy ion therapy, Brachytherapy, and Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). His dedication to Translational research drives his pursuit of improved therapeutic outcomes, combining scientific research with clinical applications to benefit his patients.
