Dr. Ntombizodwa P. Zwane is an accomplished dentist and academic with over two decades of experience in clinical dentistry and dental education. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) and has served as a lecturer and clinician at a leading health sciences university since 2004. Her professional expertise is strongly rooted in removable prosthodontics, with extensive experience in teaching complete denture prosthodontics and managing patients requiring removable prostheses. Her academic work also encompasses dental materials science, biomaterials–biofilm interactions, and the innovative application of cold atmospheric plasma in dentistry. Actively engaged in evidence-based dental research, she contributes to structured, bias-minimised scientific evaluation and peer review processes. She is widely recognized for her commitment to undergraduate teaching, clinical supervision, assessment, and academic quality assurance. Through her combined roles as educator, clinician, and researcher, she continues to advance prosthodontic education and research, contributing meaningfully to the development of modern, science-driven dental practice.

She earned her foundational education in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, and later completed her dentistry degree at Nihon University School of Dentistry at Matsudo. Driven by a passion for medical research, she pursued a doctoral course at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, where she focused on advanced biochemical and molecular genetics studies. Her professional journey began as a medical resident and dentist in public practice, gaining valuable clinical experience before transitioning to academic research. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Biochemistry at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, she contributed to cutting-edge research in cell culture, molecular biology, and biochemistry, emphasizing the molecular mechanisms underlying cellular function and disease. In November 2023, she joined the department as an Assistant Professor, where she continues to mentor students and lead innovative research projects. Her work has been recognized for its scientific rigor and potential impact on health sciences. With a strong commitment to advancing molecular research and training the next generation of scientists, Dr. Miyamoto remains at the forefront of biochemistry and molecular genetics, bridging clinical insights with laboratory discoveries to drive progress in medical science.

He is currently affiliated with leading clinical and research centers in China, where he integrates clinical insight with mechanistic research to address complex gastrointestinal diseases. His professional experience bridges patient-oriented practice and laboratory-based investigation, enabling a strong bench-to-bedside research approach. Mr. Wang’s primary research interest focuses on the metabolic mechanisms underlying pancreatitis, with particular emphasis on identifying key molecular pathways involved in disease initiation and progression. In parallel, he is actively engaged in drug screening and pharmacological evaluation, aiming to discover and optimize therapeutic candidates for pancreatitis and related metabolic disorders. His work contributes to improving diagnostic strategies and advancing targeted treatments in gastroenterology. Recognized for his rigorous scientific approach and interdisciplinary expertise, he has received academic acknowledgment through competitive research training and scholarly contributions. She holds an MBBS from King Edward Medical College, a BSc in English, and multiple advanced qualifications including MRCP, MRCP Diabetes & Endocrinology, FRCP (UK), SCOPE Certification, and fellowship of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine, alongside being an EASO Affiliated National Clinical Fellow. Dr. Bhatti has extensive managerial experience, having established the EASO-accredited weight management clinic at Genesis Healthcare Centre and leading multidisciplinary diabetes and bariatric teams at Mediclinic Dubai. Her work has contributed significantly to service development, quality improvement, and JCI accreditation processes. As an educator, she teaches postgraduate MSc diabetes programs, leads CME activities, supervises medical trainees, and serves as an OSCE examiner. Her research interests include obesity management, metabolic health, diabetes transition care, and patient education, highlighted by her project “Empowering Young People,” which enhanced diabetes self-management for transitioning youth and was presented internationally.
