Dr. Adithya Tantri has a strong educational background in civil engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Concrete Specialization from the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) between 2019 and 2022, achieving a CGPA of 8.33. His academic pursuit continued with an M.Tech (By Research) in Transportation from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), where he completed his studies between 2014 and 2016 with a CGPA of 7.54. Prior to his postgraduate education, he completed his B.E. in Civil Engineering from Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, achieving an overall percentage of 75.00%. Dr. Tantri’s foundational education includes a Diploma in Civil Engineering from N.R.A.M.P, Nitte, where he scored 70.01%, as well as a strong performance in his S.S.L.C (10th Standard) from S.N.V High School, Karkala, with 81.60% in 2007.

Dr. Tantri’s research interests lie in advancing sustainable and innovative technologies in civil engineering. His primary areas of interest include Rheology and 3D Printing of Concrete, focusing on improving the flow properties and structural design of concrete materials. He is also committed to exploring the Utilization of Industrial Wastes in Concrete, promoting environmental sustainability and reducing material costs. His work on the Use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in Concrete aims to develop techniques for incorporating recycled materials into concrete, thus enhancing the sustainability of construction practices. Another key area of his research is Asphalt Concrete with Warm Mix Technology, which improves the performance of asphalt used in road construction while minimizing environmental impact.

Dr. Tantri has accumulated a rich and diverse set of academic and research experiences, allowing him to contribute significantly to the fields of civil engineering and concrete technology. He worked as a Project Assistant at the National Institute of Engineering and Technology (NITK), Surathkal, Karnataka, where he contributed to a SERB-funded research project focusing on the experimental investigation of rutting and flexural behavior of structural asphalt mixes with warm mix asphalt additives. At Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri, he served as an Assistant Professor, delivering lectures to B.E. students on various civil engineering topics. Dr. Tantri also worked as a Research Scholar at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), where he engaged in research on concrete technology. In addition, he held the position of Assistant Professor at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, where he taught B.E. and M.Tech students. Currently, he continues to serve as an Assistant Professor at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), teaching subjects in civil engineering and contributing to the academic development of students.
