🎓 Education
Vladimir Finger earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University, Czech Republic, successfully defending his dissertation in 2024. Prior to that, he completed his Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice, graduating in 2019. His academic journey has been focused on organic and bioorganic chemistry, laying a strong foundation for his research career.

Since May 2024, Vladimir has been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy – Department of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry (Military Faculty of Medicine, University of Defence). In this role, he continues his research in pharmaceutical chemistry, focusing on bioactive compounds. Before this, he joined the Biomedical Research Centre at the University Hospital in Hradec Králové as a Postdoctoral Fellow in February 2020, contributing to cutting-edge biomedical research and pharmaceutical development.

Vladimir is actively involved in academic mentorship, having supervised four pre-gradual students in their research projects. His guidance has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of researchers in organic and bioorganic chemistry.
🌍 International Experience
In March 2021, Vladimir embarked on a six-month research internship at King’s College London, UK, where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Daniele Castagnolo. His research during this period focused on the synthesis of carbon monoxide (CO)-releasing molecules with potential antibacterial properties, contributing to advancements in medicinal chemistry.
