Prof. Dr. Mahmoud earned his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in August from the Faculty of Science, Zagazig University, Egypt. He completed his M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry in August and his B.Sc. in Chemistry in May, both from the Faculty of Science, Minufiya University, Egypt. These academic achievements laid the foundation for his prolific research career in the chemical sciences.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud has served as the Head of the Infrared Laboratory at the Nuclear Materials Authority, Cairo. His academic contributions include serving as Associate Professor of Chemistry at both the Nuclear Materials Authority and the Faculty of Education, Sadat City University. His earlier roles include Lecturer of Chemistry at Sadat City University and the Nuclear Materials Authority, Assistant Lecturer, and Chemist in both the Major Elements Analysis Laboratory and the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory. Before joining the Nuclear Materials Authority, he worked as a Chemist at New Gina Co. Tex in the 10th of Ramadan City industrial zone.
