Her studies include the effects of polymers and salts additives on these systems. Dr. Devi is particularly interested in exploring dye-surfactant and polymer-surfactant interactions in various media. Another major area of her research is the study of polymer-iodine interactions and the iodine/iodide equilibrium in mixed media in the presence of surfactants. Additionally, Dr. Devi has worked on the development of soft intelligent materials such as thermochromic polymer gels and polymer blends, which exhibit unique properties in the presence of surfactants.
