Professor V.S.R. Rajasekhar Pullabhotla is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Zululand with extensive academic, industrial, and research experience. Trained in chemistry and chemical sciences, he has worked across chemical industries, national research organizations, and higher education institutions. He leads the Catalysis Research Group at UNIZULU, with research interests spanning heterogeneous catalysis, advanced oxidation processes, wastewater treatment, bioflocculation, and nanomaterials. He has authored over 121 peer-reviewed publications, eight monographs, and holds two registered patents. Recognized as an NRF-rated C2 scientist, his work significantly advances sustainable chemistry and environmental remediation.

Dr. Yasmine Gabi is a senior scientist and expert in electromagnetic non-destructive testing (NDT) systems, with extensive experience in industrial and research-driven environments. She earned her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Grenoble University (G2Elab), focusing on modeling the 3MA NDT system for online production of dual-phase steel, and holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Physics with specialization in magnetic systems engineering from Joseph Fourier University. Since 2012, she has played a key role at Fraunhofer IZFP, leading the development of physics-based simulation platforms using finite element methods and analytical models to validate experimental NDT signals. Her professional experience also includes advanced system modeling at Schneider Electric and nanomagnetism research with CNRS and the Swiss Light Source. Her research interests span electromagnetism, hysteresis modeling, eddy current analysis, and magnetic materials characterization. With strong scientific dissemination through high-impact publications and invited plenary talks, her work significantly advances reliable electromagnetic inspection technologies, contributing to both academic progress and industrial innovation.

Dr. M. Belén García-Blanco is a distinguished researcher specializing in surface modification of materials through chemical and electrochemical processes, including anodizing, plasma electrolytic oxidation, electropolishing, and anaphoretic deposition. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrochemistry from the University of Barcelona, following a DEA from the same institution and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country. She currently serves as Principal Investigator and Project Leader at Fundación CIDETEC, where she has contributed to over twenty national and European research projects. Her notable projects include coordinating and leading large-scale European initiatives focused on advanced surface treatments and eco-friendly coatings for conventional and additive-manufactured materials. Dr. García-Blanco has authored multiple articles in high-impact journals on surface treatments and additive manufacturing and has actively participated in international conferences presenting her work on anodizing, electropolishing, and sustainable coatings. She has also guided undergraduate and graduate research projects, mentoring students in electrodeposition and surface engineering, and delivered specialized seminars in surface engineering technologies. Fluent in Basque and English, she is recognized for her scientific leadership, interdisciplinary expertise, and commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative surface modification strategies. Her work continues to drive developments in both fundamental research and industrial applications.
