šŸŽ“ Educational Experience

Prof. Yin began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Qufu Normal University (2002–2006). She then pursued her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry at Nankai University (2006–2012), where she conducted comprehensive research in coordination chemistry and materials synthesis. During her doctoral studies, she expanded her international perspective through a Joint Ph.D. program at the University of Texas at Austin (2009–2010), where she collaborated with leading experts in the field and deepened her understanding of global research practices.

🧪 Research Interests

Prof. Yin’s research focuses on two core areas of materials science. First, she explores functional complexes, especially MOFs, due to their tunable structures and high surface area, which make them ideal for chemical sensing and storage. Second, she is dedicated to the development of gas and humidity sensing materials, with a focus on creating robust, lead-free, and environmentally friendly alternatives for real-time monitoring of human physiological conditions. Her innovations contribute to the next generation of smart sensors with applications in health, safety, and environmental monitoring.

šŸ‘©ā€šŸ« Professional Appointments

Prof. Yin’s professional academic career has been rooted at Nankai University Binhai College, where she has steadily advanced through the academic ranks. She was appointed as a Lecturer in 2014 and held this position until 2018. Following her early success in teaching and research, she was promoted to Associate Professor in 2019, a role she fulfilled until 2023. In 2024, she was elevated to the position of Professor, a testament to her significant scholarly output, mentorship, and leadership in the academic community.

🌐 Social and Academic Appointments

Prof. Yin is actively involved in various professional organizations and scholarly activities. She is a member of the Chinese Chemical Society, reflecting her engagement with the national chemistry community. Her excellence in the field has been recognized with the title of Vebleo Fellow, an honor awarded to accomplished scientists with notable contributions to materials science and chemical innovation. Additionally, she serves as a peer reviewer for six SCI-indexed journals, where she plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of published scientific research.
