Assist. Prof. Dr. Nagamuthu Sadayappan is an accomplished physicist with strong expertise in materials science, nanotechnology, and energy-related research. He earned his B.Sc. in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University, followed by an M.Sc. from Bharathidasan University, and an M.Phil. from Madurai Kamaraj University. He completed his Ph.D. in Physics at The Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed University), where his research laid a strong foundation in advanced functional materials. His academic and research career includes international postdoctoral experience at the University of Ulsan, South Korea, and the University of Jinan, China, contributing significantly to nanomaterials, electrochemical energy storage, and surface/interface science. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Physics at SSM Institute of Engineering & Technology, teaching core engineering physics courses and laboratories. His research interests span nanomaterials for batteries, electrochemical energy systems, optical and surface characterization, and functional thin films, with extensive hands-on experience in SEM, electrochemical workstations, spectroscopy techniques, and glove-box battery assembly. Dr. Sadayappan has received prestigious fellowships from the Government of India, multiple best performance awards, a best research paper award from the Korean Battery Society, and recognition among the world’s top 2% scientists as listed by Stanford University in 2025. He also serves as a reviewer for several high-impact international journals, reflecting his standing in the global research community.

Dr. Santosh Chackrabarti is a dedicated researcher in nanophotonics and materials science, recognized for his contributions to semiconductor lasers, nanostructured thin films, and advanced 2D and metal oxide materials. With a strong academic foundation including a Ph.D. in Material Science and Lasers, an M.Sc. in Physics, and a B.Sc. in Physics, he has developed expertise across optical, electrical, and structural characterization techniques such as SEM, XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis, and photoluminescence analysis. His professional journey spans impactful roles as a freelance researcher, research associate, guest lecturer, and physics educator at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, demonstrating proficiency in both scientific innovation and academic instruction. He has authored more than seventeen peer-reviewed journal publications, review articles, and book chapters, along with presenting at international conferences. His research interests include semiconductor thin films, nanostructured oxides, optoelectronic materials, quantum wells, and laser-material interactions, with additional involvement in photocatalytic nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications. His work on metal oxide nanocomposites has been supported by competitive research grants, reflecting recognition of his scientific capabilities. Dr. Chackrabarti continues to advance interdisciplinary research while inspiring emerging scholars through mentorship and high-quality teaching.
