Dr. Rabiranjan Murmu holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, completed in 2024. His doctoral thesis, titled Experimental Studies and Modelling of Chitosan-Based Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC), was supervised by Prof. (Dr.) Debashis Roy. A significant highlight of his Ph.D. journey was publishing six SCI-indexed papers based on his research findings. Dr. Murmu earned his M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras (2011-2013), where he worked under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit P. Deshpande. His master’s thesis focused on the Preparation & Characterization of SPEEK Membrane for Proton-Conducting Fuel Cell. He completed his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang (2007-2011). Dr. Murmu has been serving as an Assistant Professor (Grade-I, Senior Grade) in the Chemical Engineering Department at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang, since August 6, 2014. His responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising UG, PG, and doctoral theses, organizing workshops and seminars, and actively contributing as a member of the Board of Studies and departmental course coordinator. In addition, he has held various administrative roles, including hostel management and purchase committee memberships. Dr. Murmu was promoted to Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in 2019. Over the years, he has successfully guided four postgraduate projects and ten undergraduate projects, showcasing his dedication to student mentorship and academic growth.
