Dr. Jianping Yang earned his Ph.D. in Thermal Engineering from the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion at Huazhong University of Science and Technology between 2012 and 2017. His pioneering research during this time laid a solid foundation for his future career in energy and environmental science. Prior to that, he completed his B.E. in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering at Shandong Jianzhu University from 2008 to 2012, where he excelled in understanding and developing thermal energy systems.

Dr. Yang is a leading figure in environmental remediation and thermal energy conversion. His primary research interests focus on advanced materials for environmental remediation, where he explores innovative solutions to tackle pollution and improve environmental quality. In addition, he specializes in thermal conversion technologies, such as pyrolysis and incineration, to efficiently manage municipal solid waste. His research in these areas aims to advance sustainable practices in energy production and waste management.

Dr. Yang’s groundbreaking contributions to research and innovation have earned him several prestigious awards and recognitions. He is an IAAM Fellow and recipient of the Young Scientists Medals from the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). His excellent presentations have been recognized at international conferences, including the Best Presentation Award at the 7th International Conference on Energy and Environmental Science (2023) and the Outstanding Oral Presentation at the 8th International Conference on Combustion, Incineration, Pyrolysis, Emission, and Climate Change (2014).
