Marko Vinceković began his career on January 7, 2003, as an Assistant at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Chemistry. During this time, he focused on colloid and interface chemistry as a junior researcher while also serving as a lecturer. In June 2009, he was promoted to Senior Assistant, continuing his contributions to research and teaching at the same institution.
