🎓Academic Qualifications

Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Mansour completed his PhD in Physiological Chemistry from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, between 1990 and 1993. His thesis focused on leukotrienes and lipoxins, particularly investigating the role of Leukotrienes C4 and B4 in chronic myeloid leukemia. Prior to that, he earned his Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Al-Azhar University, Cairo-Egypt, where his research centered on the role of steroidal hormones in breast cancer (1987-1990). He also obtained a Diploma in Biochemical Analysis from Al-Azhar University (1985-1986), and graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences with Honors from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University, in 1984.

👩‍🏫Academic Experience 

Dr. Mansour has extensive academic experience spanning several prestigious universities. Since 2012, he has served as a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS). From 2006 to 2012, he was a Professor in the Pharmacology Department at King Saud University (KSU). Additionally, he held the position of Professor of Pharmacology at King Faisal University (2005-2006) and was an Associate Professor in Biochemistry at Al-Azhar University from 2002 to 2005. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Professor in both King Saud University and Al-Azhar University, where he taught a variety of courses in biochemistry, pharmacology, and clinical chemistry.

Molecular Biology: Focusing on genetic techniques and oncogenic transformations.

Chemical Toxicities: Exploring biochemical changes related to aging and disease.

🧪Instrumental Expertise

Throughout his career, Dr. Mansour has gained substantial expertise in various laboratory techniques and instrumentation. These include spectrophotometry, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), flow cytometry, PCR, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), and tissue culture. His work in animal experimentation covers fields such as induced liver damage, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and tumors. He has also developed proficiency in ultracentrifugation, electrophoresis, and atomic absorption techniques.

In 1983, he received a Travel Award to attend the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation Conference in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 1998, he was awarded the prestigious State Encouragement Award in Medical Sciences, recognizing his contributions to the field of biochemistry and pharmacology.
