🔬 Areas of Research

Triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG): Wenjie Yan made groundbreaking discoveries, such as the contact enhancement phenomenon, which increases output energy by prolonging contact time. He also invented a flexible film discharge switch, enhancing energy conversion efficiency and used aerodynamics to improve device robustness. Additionally, his work on the asymmetric structure capacitor effect broke traditional surface charge density limitations.

Sensor Research: Yan achieved remarkable advancements in strain sensors, boasting an ultra-high gauge factor, and gas sensors with ultra-high sensitivity using optical effects, demonstrating his expertise in sensor development.

Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS): In the SERS field, Yan discovered the secondary photoreaction and, combining it with microfluidics, developed a highly repeatable single molecule detection microfluidic chip. This breakthrough was widely recognized, with Advanced Science News covering the achievement.
