Dr. Wanyuan Gui is a highly accomplished scholar with extensive experience in both research and teaching. He is currently a Professor at the National Center for Material Service Safety at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), where he has held the position since 2021. In addition to his role as a professor, Dr. Gui is the head of both the laser cladding and additive manufacturing laboratory and the laser chemistry laboratory at USTB.

🎓Academic and Professional Journey 

Prof. Wanyuan Gui’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Engineering (2015-2019), completed at the State Key Laboratory of New Metals at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. During his doctoral research, he was mentored by the renowned Changjiang Scholar Professor Lin Junpin, the Chief Scientist of the 973 Program. Following his Ph.D., Prof. Gui embarked on a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship (2019-2021) at the National Center for Material Service Safety Science, University of Science and Technology Beijing, where he worked under the guidance of Academician Luan Benli, further refining his expertise in materials science.

Prof. Gui has held several prestigious academic and leadership positions. From July 2021 to July 2024, he served as a Professor and Laboratory Head at the National Center for Material Service Safety at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. In addition to his role as a professor, he led two key research laboratories: the Laser Cladding and Additive Manufacturing Laboratory and the Laser Chemistry Laboratory. 🎓 Academic and Professional Background

Prof. Zhuang Liu Ph.D. in Materials Physics and Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Following this, I began my postdoctoral research at Chung Cheng University in Taiwan, China, in 2011. Since 2012, I have been associated with the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2016, I undertook a year-long research project as a visiting scholar at Ames National Laboratory in the United States, gaining invaluable experience and expanding my knowledge in materials science.
