Academic and Professional Background

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fei Wang is currently serving as an Associate Professor at Baotou Teachers College. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2021 from Lanzhou University of Technology, with a strong academic foundation in chemical engineering. Her research primarily revolves around the design and synthesis of Conjugated Porous Polymers (CPPs). She emphasizes morphological and structural regulation to enhance their functional applications. Dr. Wang has made significant strides in tailoring functional groups and pore structures to systematically investigate the adsorption performance and structure–activity relationships of CPPs, particularly for tetracycline antibiotics and metal ions. Through optimized adsorption conditions and in-depth mechanistic analysis, she has developed high-performance CPP-based adsorbents with clearly understood adsorption mechanisms. Her research scope has also extended into photothermal evaporation applications, showcasing the versatility of these materials.

Areas of Research

Dr. Wang’s research interests are deeply rooted in chemical engineering, focusing on advanced functional materials for environmental remediation and resource recovery. A major highlight of her recent work is the recovery of rare earth elements (REEs) from low-concentration solutions, offering a sustainable path to address resource depletion and environmental pollution. She has synthesized two novel CPP-based adsorbents by covalently integrating phosphate ester groups into the polymer network. Using lanthanum as a model ion, she systematically evaluated their performance. The results revealed that the adsorption behavior adhered to the Langmuir model, the adsorption kinetics followed a pseudo-second-order model, and the process was identified as a spontaneous, endothermic reaction—a promising breakthrough in REE recovery.

Professional Memberships

Dr. Fei Wang is an active member of the Chinese Chemical Society, where she contributes to the broader chemical research community through collaboration, peer review, and academic outreach. Her professional engagement reflects her commitment to scientific excellence and interdisciplinary progress.
