🎓 Education

Ishioma completed her Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering (2023) from the University of Nottingham, while simultaneously participating in a Doctoral Training Program in New Energy Materials at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She also holds an M.Eng. (2017) and B.Eng. (2012) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Developing innovative conversion processes for biomass and polymeric carbon waste into functional materials with a focus on electrochemical energy storage applications, including supercapacitors, supercapattery, and batteries. Her work emphasizes creating porous materials to enhance energy storage capacity and efficiency.

👩‍🏫Teaching Experience

Ishioma has a robust teaching background, serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China from 2020-2022, where she taught Chemical Process Simulation using Aspen Hysys. She also taught Further Foundational Mechanics and Critical Thinking in academic contexts. In addition, she was a Visiting Lecturer at the NLNG Center for Gas, Refining, and Petrochemicals at the University of Port Harcourt, where she specialized in process simulation for petrochemical applications.
