Dr. Sagar K. G completed his Ph.D. in 2022 from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. His research focused on the “Study on Mechanical and Wear Characterization of Particulate Reinforced Aluminum Alloy Subjected to Severe Plastic Deformation.” He earned his M.Tech in Machine Design from Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), Bengaluru, in 2011, graduating with First Class. His thesis was on “Numerical Simulation of Powder Compaction Processes Considering Material and Geometrical Nonlinearity.” Dr. Sagar’s academic journey began with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from SJMIT College of Engineering, Chitradurga, affiliated with VTU Belagavi, which he completed in 2007. His undergraduate project was on the “Engine Management System.”

💼 Professional Experience

Dr. Sagar K. G has amassed over 13 years of academic and research experience, contributing significantly to the field of mechanical engineering education. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Cambridge Institute of Technology, Bangalore, a position he has held since July 2015. Prior to this, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Sambhram Institute of Technology (SaIT), Bengaluru, from August 2013 to July 2015, and at SJMIT College of Engineering, Chitradurga, from September 2011 to July 2013. Dr. Sagar also contributed as an Assistant Professor at SJCIT College of Engineering, Chikkaballapur, from July 2010 to 2011. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable industry experience as a Project Graduate Trainee at the National Transonic Aerodynamic Facilities, working under the guidance of Mr. Rajeev G, from September 2007 to September 2008.
