🎓 Academic Background

Dr. Ahmed Asmoay earned his Ph.D. in Science (Environmental Geology) from the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Egypt, in December 2017. His doctoral thesis, titled “Hydrogeochemical studies on the water resources and soil characteristics in the western bank of the River Nile between Abu Qurqas and Dayr Mawas, El Minya Governorate, Egypt”, reflects his deep involvement in studying Egypt’s vital natural resources. He received his Master’s degree in Science (Applied Mineralogy) from the same university in December 2011, with a thesis focused on “Geological studies on wadi deposits of Esh El-Mellaha area, the western coastal plain of the Red Sea-Egypt”. Dr. Asmoay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Special Geology) from Al-Azhar University, Assuit branch, awarded in May 2003, graduating with honors and a very good grade (78.9%).

🧪 Professional Experience

With a career spanning nearly two decades, Dr. Asmoay has steadily risen through the ranks at the National Research Centre (NRC). In March 2024, he was promoted to Associate Professor, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey. Since February 2018, he has served as a Researcher and Lecturer, following earlier roles as a Researcher/Lecturer Assistant (2012–2018) and Assistant Researcher (2011–2012). His journey at NRC began with a fellowship from 2006 to 2011, after a brief stint at the Desert Research Centre in 2006. Before entering the research field, he worked as a Science Teacher at the Preparatory Stage under Egypt’s Ministry of Education from January to December 2005, highlighting his commitment to education at all levels.

🎓Academic Background

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saad A. Mohallel earned his B.Sc. in Special Chemistry  from the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University in 1999. He pursued higher studies  by completing a Pre-Master in Physical Chemistry before obtaining his M.Sc. in Environmental Chemistry . His master’s thesis, titled “Hydrochemistry and Treatment of Groundwater in the Area between Mersa Matrouh and El Salloum, Egypt”, focused on hydrochemistry, water resources, water treatment, and polymer synthesis. He later achieved a Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry  from Al-Azhar University, where his research, titled “Applications of Hydrogeochemical Modeling to Evaluate Water Resources in the Area between Edfu and Aswan, Eastern Desert, Egypt”, concentrated on hydrogeochemistry, groundwater modeling, and water resource evaluation . Over the years, his dedication to research and education led him to earn the title of Assistant Researcher Professor in Water Chemistry .

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saad A. Mohallel has undergone extensive training in water chemistry, hydrogeology, and environmental studies . He completed a specialized training course in the Chemistry of Groundwater at the International Institute of Technology (IIT) in Roorkee, India .
