Assist. Prof. Dr. Sachiko Miyamoto is a distinguished researcher and educator in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. She earned her foundational education in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, and later completed her dentistry degree at Nihon University School of Dentistry at Matsudo. Driven by a passion for medical research, she pursued a doctoral course at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, where she focused on advanced biochemical and molecular genetics studies. Her professional journey began as a medical resident and dentist in public practice, gaining valuable clinical experience before transitioning to academic research. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Biochemistry at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, she contributed to cutting-edge research in cell culture, molecular biology, and biochemistry, emphasizing the molecular mechanisms underlying cellular function and disease. In November 2023, she joined the department as an Assistant Professor, where she continues to mentor students and lead innovative research projects. Her work has been recognized for its scientific rigor and potential impact on health sciences. With a strong commitment to advancing molecular research and training the next generation of scientists, Dr. Miyamoto remains at the forefront of biochemistry and molecular genetics, bridging clinical insights with laboratory discoveries to drive progress in medical science.

Mr. Pengyuan Wang is an accomplished biomedical researcher and clinician specializing in gastroenterology and translational pharmacology. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine, followed by a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, and further strengthened his academic foundation through postdoctoral training in Gastroenterology. He is currently affiliated with leading clinical and research centers in China, where he integrates clinical insight with mechanistic research to address complex gastrointestinal diseases. His professional experience bridges patient-oriented practice and laboratory-based investigation, enabling a strong bench-to-bedside research approach. Mr. Wang’s primary research interest focuses on the metabolic mechanisms underlying pancreatitis, with particular emphasis on identifying key molecular pathways involved in disease initiation and progression. In parallel, he is actively engaged in drug screening and pharmacological evaluation, aiming to discover and optimize therapeutic candidates for pancreatitis and related metabolic disorders. His work contributes to improving diagnostic strategies and advancing targeted treatments in gastroenterology. Recognized for his rigorous scientific approach and interdisciplinary expertise, he has received academic acknowledgment through competitive research training and scholarly contributions. At Seoul National University, he held several leadership roles, including Director of the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, Vice President of the Bio-MAX Institute, and President of the Korea Society for Neurodegenerative Disease. His research focuses on molecular pathways of neurodegeneration, protein homeostasis, autophagy regulation, and therapeutic target discovery. As an editor and editorial board member for leading international journals, he has significantly shaped scientific discourse in biophysics, biochemistry, and molecular neuroscience.
