Dr. Varishetty Madhu Mohan holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, AP, India (2002β2007). His thesis, titled Studies in Thin Films – Investigations on Electrical Properties of Pure and Doped PEO Polymer Electrolyte Films for Solid-State Battery Applications, focuses on advanced materials for energy applications. He earned his M.Sc. (Tech) in Physics and Electronics from the same institution (1996β1999), securing second rank and completing a project on Street Light Illumination Control in collaboration with Amara Raja Batteries, Tirupati. Dr. Madhu Mohanβs academic journey began with a B.Sc. (1993β1996), where he majored in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Madhu Mohan is currently an Assistant Professor in Physics at Mohan Babu University, Tirupati (since June 2022). Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at IIIT Ongole Campus (2017β2022) and as an Associate Professor at S.V. College of Engineering, Tirupati (2015β2017), and Vemu Institute of Technology, Kothakota (2014β2015). His teaching career includes early roles at SPW Degree College and Narayana Junior College, Tirupati. In addition to teaching, Dr. Madhu Mohan has held significant administrative roles. He served as Associate Dean Academics (2017β2019) and Additional Dean Academics (2019β2021) at IIIT Ongole Campus, where he contributed to academic policy formation and curriculum development.

Dr. Madhu Mohan has an extensive international research background spanning 6.7 years. He worked as a Senior Researcher at Shizuoka University, Japan (2009β2014), focusing on dye-sensitized solar cells and polymer gel electrolytes. Prior to this, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Wuhan University of Technology, China (2007β2009), where his research concentrated on lithium batteries, including composite polymer electrolyte films and advanced nanostructures.

Dr. Madhu Mohanβs research interests include the synthesis of nanomaterials, development of dye-sensitized and silicon-solar cells, and exploration of nanoelectrodes for energy storage applications. He has a strong focus on polymer gel and solid electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries, as well as innovations in super capacitors, gas sensors, and other semiconductor devices.

Dr. Madhu Mohan specializes in preparing ZnO and TiOβ photoelectrodes using spray pyrolysis and spin coating techniques. He has expertise in synthesizing imidazolium ionic liquids, PEO, PEG, and PAN gel electrolytes, and developing advanced nanoelectrode materials through hydrothermal and sol-gel methods. His work on characterizing polymer nanocomposite electrolytes has significant implications for applications in dye-sensitized solar cells, lithium batteries, and super capacitors.

Dr. Madhu Mohan has received numerous accolades for his contributions to research and academia. He secured 1st place for his oral presentation at Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai (2023), and received the Best Oral Presentation Award at Nagarjuna University (2023). His research excellence earned him the prestigious 44th China Postdoctoral Foundation Grade-II Award (No: 20080440966). During his academic tenure, he ranked second in his M.Sc. (Tech) program and was honored with the Sreemathi Suseela Sreeramamurthy Prize.
