๐ŸŽ“ Educational Background

My educational background includes completing primary education at the Primary School of KIREBE (1992 โ€“ 1999), followed by Ordinary Level studies at Musanze High School (2000 โ€“ 2003) and Advanced Level at APPEDI MARIE-REINE RWAZA (2004 โ€“ 2006). I earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Second Class Honours, Upper Division from the National University of Rwanda (NUR) (2008 โ€“ 2011). I further specialized with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Astrophysics and Space Science from the University of Cape Town (UCT) (2014), obtained a Masters in Physics from Rhodes University (RU) (2015 โ€“ 2017), and completed my PhD in Physics at the University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) (2019 – 2022).

๐Ÿ” Projects

For my Master’s Project, titled Ionospheric Disturbances during Magnetic Storms at SANAE, I completed coursework with an aggregate of 82%. My PhD Project focused on The effects of Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances on SuperDARN near range echoes, contributing significantly to the field.

๐Ÿ’ผ Employment History

From February 2012 to February 2014, I served as a Teacher of Natural Sciences at Musanze District, where I was responsible for teaching, invigilating, and marking physics exams, leading to a significant increase in student pass rates. I then took on the role of Tutorial Assistant of Physics at the Ruhengeri Institute of Higher Education (INES) from February 2014 to February 2017, where I ensured all students passed their modules through effective lecturing and exam preparation. At Regina Pacis Secondary School (September 2017 โ€“ September 2018), I prepared courses and marked exams, resulting in a student achieving the highest score in national examinations for the first time. From January 2018 to March 2019, as an Assistant Lecturer of Physics at the University of Kibungo, I ensured quality teaching and supervised student dissertations while participating in departmental meetings. Currently, since June 2022, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), where I conduct research, co-supervise students, and publish articles while also working as a forecaster in a Space Weather center.

๐Ÿ“œ Certificates

I have received several certificates acknowledging my professional development, including a Certificate of Presentation at the 6th Annual Scientific Research Conference on “Poverty Reduction and Development” at NUR (October 2009) and a Language Proficiency Certificate with Distinction (2009). Other notable certifications include participation in the 4th Biennial African School on Fundamental Physics and its Applications (August 2016), attendance at workshops on Assertiveness and Problem Solving (May 2019) and the SANSA Student Workshop 2019 (October 2019), as well as the Article Publishing Process workshop by Researcher Academy On Campus (Elsevier) (July 2021). More recently, I attended the 28th General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics and presented at the COSPAR-Capacity Building Workshop-IRI (2023).
