Dr. Salimeh Kimiagar is a distinguished physicist specializing in condensed matter and nanophysics. She earned her Ph.D. in Physics from the Islamic Azad University (IAU), Iran, in 2008, where her doctoral research focused on the statistical investigation of rough surfaces under the guidance of Dr. Mohhamad Reza Rahimitabar. Currently, she serves as a Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil, and as a Faculty Member at the Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran Branch. Her extensive research encompasses the study and application of nanomaterials, including graphene, MoS₂, nanoparticles, and thin films, particularly in developing gas sensors and photocatalytic systems. Dr. Kimiagar has contributed significantly to advancing the understanding of two-dimensional materials and their integration into energy-efficient technologies. Her scholarly achievements and interdisciplinary collaborations have earned her recognition within the global physics community.
