Author Profile
đEducational JourneyÂ
Pierre Audebert’s academic foundation was laid at the prestigious Ecole SupĂ©rieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielle de la Ville de Paris (ESPCI), where he graduated in 1982 with an engineering degree. He then pursued a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry at the University of Grenoble, completing his thesis in July 1987 under the supervision of Dr. G. Bidan at the Laboratoire d’Electrochimie MolĂ©culaire du Centre d’Etudes NuclĂ©aires de Grenoble.
đïžAcademic and Professional Career
Pierre’s professional career took off when he was recruited by CNRS as a permanent member of the Laboratoire d’Electrochimie MolĂ©culaire at Paris 7 University in 1988. He was later promoted to a professorship at the University of Franche ComtĂ© in 1993. His career saw another transition when he became a professor at the Ecole Normale SupĂ©rieure de Cachan in 1998, where he led a research team of 8 to 14 members in the PPSM Laboratory. He continued his groundbreaking research and leadership until 2016, when Dr. G. Clavier succeeded him as the head of the group.
đResearch and Global ContributionsÂ
Pierre Audebert has had an impressive international presence. He has held post-doctoral positions in the Laboratoire de Physico-chimie MolĂ©culaire at the Centre d’Etudes NuclĂ©aires de Grenoble and completed research visits at prestigious institutions across the world, including Regensburg University (Germany), Warsaw Technical University (Poland), and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He also served as a visiting professor in Japan, South Africa, the USA, and South Korea. Additionally, he was an associate professor at Zhejiang University (China) for 5 years.
đHonors and RecognitionÂ
Pierre Audebert’s exceptional career is highlighted by numerous accolades, including being admitted as an IUF Senior Member in October 2014. This distinction, awarded to 40 senior members among the French academic community, is a testament to his extraordinary contributions to the field of chemistry.
