🎓Educational Background 

Wenye Deng completed his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at Lanzhou University in 2007 through a Direct Ph.D. Program, after obtaining his B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the same university in 2002. His academic journey laid the foundation for his expertise in the field of physical chemistry, which he has built upon throughout his professional career.

💼Professional Experience 

Professor Deng has accumulated extensive experience in both academic and research positions. He currently serves as a Professor/Researcher at the Xinjiang Institute of Engineering since June 2022. Prior to this, he worked as a Researcher and Deputy Director at the Xinjiang Environmental Protection Science Research Institute from 2013 to 2022. His earlier work includes serving as an Associate Researcher at the Xinjiang Institute of Physics and Chemistry (CAS) and as an Assistant Researcher/Associate Researcher at the China Academy of Engineering Physics from 2008 to 2011. He also gained international experience as a Visiting Scholar at Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2017-2018, further enhancing his global research perspective.

Professor Deng has received significant recognition for his contributions to science and technology. In 2022, he was awarded the Second Prize of Xinjiang Science and Technology Progress Award (fourth). He has also served as an Expert Consultant for the Xinjiang People’s Procuratorate and a National Environmental Public Welfare Litigation Technical Expert from 2021 to 2023.
