Wenjie Du pursued his Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University in the School of Metallurgy and Environmental Science from 2014 to 2018, where he was mentored by Mei Wang. Following this, he completed his Master’s Degree in Applied Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) from 2018 to 2021 under the guidance of Wenwei Li. My educational background includes completing primary education at the Primary School of KIREBE (1992 – 1999), followed by Ordinary Level studies at Musanze High School (2000 – 2003) and Advanced Level at APPEDI MARIE-REINE RWAZA (2004 – 2006). I earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Second Class Honours, Upper Division from the National University of Rwanda (NUR) (2008 – 2011). I further specialized with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Astrophysics and Space Science from the University of Cape Town (UCT) (2014), obtained a Masters in Physics from Rhodes University (RU) (2015 – 2017), and completed my PhD in Physics at the University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) (2019 – 2022).

🔍 Projects

For my Master’s Project, titled Ionospheric Disturbances during Magnetic Storms at SANAE, I completed coursework with an aggregate of 82%. My PhD Project focused on The effects of Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances on SuperDARN near range echoes, contributing significantly to the field.

💼 Employment History

From February 2012 to February 2014, I served as a Teacher of Natural Sciences at Musanze District, where I was responsible for teaching, invigilating, and marking physics exams, leading to a significant increase in student pass rates. I then took on the role of Tutorial Assistant of Physics at the Ruhengeri Institute of Higher Education (INES) from February 2014 to February 2017, where I ensured all students passed their modules through effective lecturing and exam preparation. At Regina Pacis Secondary School (September 2017 – September 2018), I prepared courses and marked exams, resulting in a student achieving the highest score in national examinations for the first time. From January 2018 to March 2019, as an Assistant Lecturer of Physics at the University of Kibungo, I ensured quality teaching and supervised student dissertations while participating in departmental meetings. Currently, since June 2022, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), where I conduct research, co-supervise students, and publish articles while also working as a forecaster in a Space Weather center.

Early Life and Education 🏫:

Prof. Dr. Rasim Mogulkoc was born on March 20, 1967, in Gürün (Sivas), Turkey. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in his hometown. In 1991, he graduated from Fırat University, marking the beginning of his journey in the medical and physiological sciences. Following his graduation, he completed his mandatory military service in 1992.

Academic Pursuits and Professional Journey 📚:

Prof. Mogulkoc embarked on his doctoral studies in 1993 and earned his Ph.D. in 1997. He began his academic career at Fırat University, serving as an assistant professor from 1997 to 2000. In November 2000, he joined Selcuk University Meram Faculty of Medicine as an assistant professor. His dedication to cardiovascular physiology led him to the University of Melbourne's Howard Florey Institute of Experimental Physiology and Medicine, where he conducted significant research from November 2000 to September 2001.

Prof. Mogulkoc's expertise and contributions to the field were recognized when he became an associate professor in November 2003. His continued excellence in research and teaching culminated in his promotion to professor at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine in August 2010, a position he holds to this day.
