Pierre Audebert’s academic foundation was laid at the prestigious Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielle de la Ville de Paris (ESPCI), where he graduated in 1982 with an engineering degree. He then pursued a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry at the University of Grenoble, completing his thesis in July 1987 under the supervision of Dr. G. Bidan at the Laboratoire d’Electrochimie Moléculaire du Centre d’Etudes Nucléaires de Grenoble.

Pierre’s professional career took off when he was recruited by CNRS as a permanent member of the Laboratoire d’Electrochimie Moléculaire at Paris 7 University in 1988. He was later promoted to a professorship at the University of Franche Comté in 1993. His career saw another transition when he became a professor at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan in 1998, where he led a research team of 8 to 14 members in the PPSM Laboratory. He continued his groundbreaking research and leadership until 2016, when Dr. G. Clavier succeeded him as the head of the group.

She is particularly interested in metabolomic analysis, a field that involves studying the metabolites of organisms within purified systems. These systems are designed to focus solely on the target organisms for more accurate analysis. Additionally, Taghreed’s work spans the industrial applications of macro and microalgae, exploring their potential in biodiesel production, wastewater biofiltration, and various medical applications, including the extraction of biologically active compounds from living organisms.

In 2023, Taghreed served on the Editorial Committee for Advanced Research in Life Sciences & Biology (ARLSB). From 2020 to the present, she has been the Head of Institutional Finance Research, with a focus on the chemical ecology of aphids impacting pomegranate crops and wild olive trees in Taif, KSA. In 2019, she acted as an arbitrator for a master’s thesis on the effect of marine algae extract on calcium dissolution. Taghreed has also contributed as a Board Editor for the Journal of Aquaculture and Marine Science (2017) and co-supervised a master’s project on the synthesis of pyrazolo derivatives in 2016. Additionally, she reviewed the Arabic translation of the book Islamic Civilization in Articles in 2015-2016. Since 2014, she has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at Taif University in Saudi Arabia.
